To provide you with a high-quality social and photo-album experience, and to support our Platform through advertising, we may collect the following information:

A. Information You Provide

  • Account Information: When you register, we collect your username, password, email address, and profile information.

  • User Content: The content you upload, create, or publish on the Platform, including photographs, albums, text descriptions, comments, and associated metadata (e.g., when a photo was taken). Please note: We only collect content that you explicitly choose to upload to Slowalbum's servers. We do not "pre-load" or collect your local drafts before you publish them.

  • Correspondence Information: Information you provide when you contact us for technical support or feedback.

B. Automatically Collected Information

  • Usage Information: We collect information about how you use the Platform, such as the content you view, the albums you interact with, and your search history.

  • Technical Information: We collect device information when you access the Platform, such as your IP address, device model, operating system version, system language, network type, and automatically assigned device IDs.

  • Location Information: We collect approximate location information based on your IP address.

  • Cookies and Similar Technologies: If you access our Platform via a web browser, we and our partners may use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies to collect information about your browsing activities and preferences. You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, some portions of our web Platform may not function properly.

  • Serving Advertising: We work with third-party advertising networks, including Google Ads and AppLovin, to serve advertisements on our Platform. These partners use tracking technologies (such as SDKs) to collect non-personally identifiable information about your device and usage behavior to deliver targeted advertisements. We strictly do not share your name, email address, or private photos with these ad networks.

  • Data Analysis: To understand how users interact with the Platform, improve existing features, and ensure system stability.

  • Ensuring Safety: To detect and prevent spam, fraud, abuse, and to enforce our Terms of Service.

3. How We Share Your Information

Our Core Commitment: Slowalbum will NEVER sell your personally identifiable information (such as your name or email) or your private photographs to third-party merchants, advertisers, or data brokers.

We only share your information in the following specific circumstances:

  • Third-Party Advertising Networks: We integrate third-party advertising SDKs (specifically AppLovin and Google Ads) to display advertisements. These third parties collect and process your device identifiers and usage data according to their own privacy policies to provide personalized ads.   • Service Providers: We share necessary data with trusted third parties that help us operate our business (e.g., cloud hosting providers like AWS/Squarespace). These providers are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and can only use the data to provide services directly to Slowalbum.

  • Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, in response to valid requests by public authorities, or to protect the rights and safety of Slowalbum, our users, and the public.

  • Public Profiles: Depending on your privacy settings, if your account or album is set to "Public," your content can be viewed by anyone on the Platform.

  • International Data Transfers: Slowalbum is based in Malaysia, but we utilize trusted third-party cloud service providers (such as AWS) to host the Platform. Therefore, your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries outside of your country of residence (such as the United States or Singapore). By using the Platform, you consent to the transfer of your information to these locations, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

4. Your Rights and Choices

We respect your control over your personal data:

  • Access and Correction: You can log into your account at any time to view and edit your personal information.

  • Deletion of Content and Account: You can delete the photos you have uploaded at any time. You can also request the permanent deletion of your Slowalbum account within the app, at which point we will remove your personal data from our active servers.

  • Opting Out of Targeted Advertising: You can opt out of personalized advertising by adjusting your device settings:

    • For iOS: Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking, and disable "Allow Apps to Request to Track" for Slowalbum.

    • For Android: Go to Settings > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Ads, and select "Delete advertising ID" or "Opt out of Ads Personalization" (steps may vary by device).

  • Additional Rights for EEA and California Residents: If you are a resident of the European Economic Area (EEA) under the GDPR, or a California resident under the CCPA, you have additional rights regarding your personal data. These include:

    • Data Portability: The right to request a copy of your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.

    • Restriction of Processing: The right to request that we restrict or object to the processing of your personal data.

5. Data Security and Retention

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to safeguard your data. We retain your information only for as long as necessary to provide you with our services, comply with our legal obligations, or until you request account deletion. Please note that no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Upon requesting account deletion, we will permanently delete your personal data and User Content from our active servers within 30 days. Please note that your information may remain in our secure, encrypted backups for an additional 60 days before being completely overwritten, due to the nature of our cloud storage systems.

6. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

7. Policy Updates and Contact Us

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. In the event of material changes, we will notify you within the app or update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
