Privacy Policy
Last Updated: July 13, 2026
Welcome to Slowalbum. This Privacy Policy applies to the Slowalbum applications, websites, and related
services (collectively, the "Platform"). We understand the importance of your privacy and are committed to
protecting your personal information. This policy explains how we collect, use, share, and process your
personal data. By accessing or using our Platform, you acknowledge and agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
To provide you with a high-quality social and memory-sharing experience, and to support our Platform through
advertising, we may collect the following information:
A. Information You Provide
- Account Information: When you register, we collect your display name, or username,
email address, profile information (such as your profile photo), and third-party login identifiers
provided by your identity provider (such as Google or Apple). We do not collect or store your passwords.
- User Content: The content you upload, create, or publish on the Platform, including
text, photos, videos, albums, comments, and associated metadata (e.g., when a photo or video was
taken). Please note: We only collect content that you explicitly choose to upload to Slowalbum's
servers. We do not "pre-load" or collect your local drafts before you publish them.
- Correspondence Information: Information you provide when you contact us for technical
support or feedback.
B. Automatically Collected Information
- Usage Information: We collect information about how you use the Platform, such as the
content you view or interact with, and your search history.
- Technical Information: We collect device information when you access the Platform, such
as your IP address, device model, operating system version, system language, network type, and
automatically assigned device IDs.
- Location Information: We collect approximate location information based on your IP
address (such as your country or city; we do not collect your precise GPS location).
- Cookies, Local Storage, and Similar Technologies: If you access our Platform via a web
browser, we and our partners may use cookies, web beacons, and similar tracking technologies. For our
mobile applications, we and our partners may use local storage, app cache, device identifiers, or Software
Development Kits (SDKs) to cache media content, remember your preferences, and deliver targeted
advertisements. You can control these settings through your browser or your device's built-in privacy settings.
C. Advertising Identifiers and Third-Party Data
When you use our Platform, third-party advertising partners (such as Google) may collect certain
device information, advertising identifiers (such as Apple's IDFA or Android's Advertising ID), IP
addresses, and data regarding your interaction with ads. You can control these settings through your browser
or your device's built-in privacy settings.
2. How We Use Your Information
We primarily use your information to operate the Platform, optimize your experience, and serve relevant
content and advertisements. Specific uses include:
- Providing and Maintaining Services: To host and present your content (including text,
photos, and videos), manage your account, and enable social interactions.
- Personalizing Content: To recommend memory feeds, content, or creators you might be
interested in based on your preferences.
- Serving Advertising: We work with third-party advertising networks, including Google
Ads, to serve advertisements on our Platform. These partners use tracking technologies
(such as SDKs) to collect non-personally identifiable information about your device and usage behavior
to deliver targeted advertisements. We strictly do not share your name, email address, or private
content (such as your text, photos, or videos) with these ad networks.
- Data Analysis: To understand how users interact with the Platform, improve existing
features, and ensure system stability.
- Ensuring Safety: To detect and prevent spam, fraud, abuse (including reviewing user-submitted
reports of objectionable content), and to enforce our Terms of Service.
3. How We Share Your Information
Our Core Commitment: Slowalbum will NEVER sell your personally identifiable
information (such as your name or email) or your private content (such as your text, photos, or videos) to
third-party merchants, advertisers, or data brokers.
We only share your information in the following specific circumstances:
- Third-Party Advertising Networks: We integrate third-party advertising SDKs
(specifically Google Ads) to display advertisements. These third parties collect and
process your device identifiers and usage data according to their own privacy policies to provide
personalized ads. You can learn more about how Google uses information from sites or apps that use their
services here.
- Service Providers: We share necessary data with trusted third parties that help us
operate our business. These providers are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and can only use the
data to provide services directly to Slowalbum.
- Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, in
response to valid requests by public authorities, or to protect the rights and safety of Slowalbum, our
users, and the public.
- Public Profiles: Depending on your privacy settings, if your account or content is set to
"Public," your content can be viewed by anyone on the Platform.
- International Data Transfers: We utilize trusted
third-party cloud service providers to host the Platform. Therefore, your information may
be transferred to, stored, and processed in countries outside of your country of residence. By using the Platform, you consent to the transfer of your information to
these locations, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
4. Your Rights and Choices
We respect your control over your personal data:
- Access and Correction: You can log into your account to view and edit your
personal information.
- Deletion of Content and Account: You can delete the content you have uploaded.
You can also request the permanent deletion of your Slowalbum account within the app. Please note
that it may take some time to fully process your request and completely remove your personal data
from our active servers and routine backups.
- Opting Out of Targeted Advertising: You can opt out of personalized advertising by
adjusting your device settings.
- Additional Rights for EEA and California Residents: If you are a resident of the
European Economic Area (EEA) under the GDPR, or a California resident under the CCPA, you have
additional rights regarding your personal data. These include:
- Data Portability: The right to request a copy of your personal data in a
structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
- Restriction of Processing: The right to request that we restrict or object to
the processing of your personal data.
- Do Not Sell My Personal Information: As stated above, we do not sell your
personal data for monetary value. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at
admin@slowalbum.com.
5. Data Security and Retention
We implement industry-standard technical and organizational measures to safeguard your data. We retain your
information only for as long as necessary to provide you with our services, comply with our legal
obligations, or until you request account deletion. Please note that no method of transmission over the
internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Upon requesting account deletion, we
will permanently delete your personal data and content from our active servers. Please note that your
information may temporarily remain in our secure, encrypted backups before being completely overwritten,
due to the nature of our cloud storage systems.
6. Children's Privacy
The Platform is directed at users who are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal
information from anyone under the age of 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from
someone under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
7. Policy Updates and Contact Us
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. In the event of material changes, we will notify you
within the app or update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy.
